Peer Leader Events

We are ecstatic that MAP offers a diverse array of FREE events (in person & virtual), specifically curated for the LGBTQ+ API community in Boston. As advocates for inclusivity, we invite this demographic and allies to come and be a part of these memorable events.

MAP community events play a vital role in fostering connections, celebrating cultural heritage, and promoting empathy amongst API and/or LGBTQ+ folks. Our peer leaders organize engaging community events that serve as platforms for cultural exchange, dialogue, and unity. In the past, we have hosted a Chinatown Bakery Crawl, an API leadership conference, and a bracelet-making event. The goal of these events is to strengthen our unique community.

At the core of our organization is a commitment to peer support and counseling. Through our peer counseling programs and regular drop in hours, we provide a brave and empathetic space where folks can share their struggles, seek guidance, and meet individuals who have walked similar paths.

Stay tuned with our upcoming events and workshops by following our Instagram and LinkTree.

We can’t wait to see you there!

“My favorite MAP memory is hosting my first jewelry event and being able to help people make bracelets and getting to know some people from my community.”

Become a Peer Leader

The Asian Pride program supports young adults to become role models and leaders in promoting healthy choices. Leading this youth-run organization, Peer Leaders plan community events and organize fun educational activities for program participants. Peer Leaders play a key role in the operations of our safe space drop-in hours and develop job and life skills during their time with the program.

  • Interested in helping others?

  • Want to learn new skills while empowering your peers to do the same?

  • Passionate about creating brave spaces for API / LGBTQ+ youth?

“Having an Asian Pride branch is special because it celebrates the intersection of identity & allows me to celebrate all aspects of myself.

– Angela, Peer Leader
